Father Hanna Skandar is a Lebanese maronite monk who lives in the christian village of Menjez, located in North Lebanon in the Akkar region. He is in charge of the Maronite Monastery of our Lady of the Fort (“Deir Saydet El Qalaa”) where he has created a spiritual retreat center.

Father Hanna Skandar holds a license in theology as well as a Doctorate in History. He is actively working at the revitalization and the heritage preservation of christian villages of Northern Lebanon.

He is also a writer! Based on the historical episodes recorded on Saint Charbel’s life and missions both on Earth and in Heaven, Father Hanna Skandar wrote what has become the most comprehensive single documented reference on Saint Charbel in his book Charbeliat 7. The numerous references, footnotes and annotations included in this book are sure to support efficiently anyone that is interested in extensive studies of the life and works of Saint Charbel. In 2009, Father Hanna Skandar published a popular version of this book, titled Charbeliat 11.
